On what we can agree

Via our mutual connection to the spirit of God

We can agree, that via our individual connection with the Spirit of God, we are able to experience understanding, wisdom, and common-unity with others in the Body of Christ, especially with those who also remain attuned to that same Holy Spirit of Grace."

“Endeavorouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace; There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”  Ephesians 4:3-6 (KJV)

We can agree that the Spirit of God along with the Holy Scriptures does provide the guidance and wisdom needed to help us "grow up" in God so we can learn to walk in the fullness of His Plan for our lives. Thus, we can agree on the importance of identifying with and holding close to the written (Scriptures) and living Word (Spirit).

"And be ye renewed in the Spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."  Ephesians 4:22-23 (KJV)

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”  Romans 8:14 (KJV)

Based on the Two Commandments of Jesus, "To Love God & Love Others," we can believe in sharing God’s Love everywhere we go as well as extending to others, the mercy that has been given to us.

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."  Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)

We can express our love of God with one another “in Spirit and in Truth.”

“But the hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth"  John 4:23-24 (KJV)

We can stand in prayer for one another and encourage each other to seek God first in all of our affairs, decisions, and life situations.

“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”  Matthew 22:37-40 (KJV)

We can agree to “Teach the Truth in Love”...mostly by example from our understanding, as guided by the Holy Spirit and as taught by Scriptures but always done with love and without "seeking fault" in others or in their doctrines, though what we hold to be true may not represent the practices or beliefs of others.

“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ”  Ephesians 4:15 (KJV).

We can offer what we have learned thus far as we continue to grow spiritually.

"And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness” 2 Timothy 2:24-25 (KJV)

Finally, we realize that throughout our process of transformation, we ourselves, must remain teachable and entreat-able to continue to be formed into the vessels of honor that God has in mind.

“Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour and another unto dishonor?” Romans 9:21 (KJV)

Set Free! Though we might partake of the benefits, teaching, and fellowship offered by a "church" or "gathering place," our first allegiance should be to Jesus Christ, above all man-made philosophies & doctrines, above all organizations & cultures; and no matter what our perceived differences in theology are, ultimately, if we turn individually and together to Him, we can trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to unite us, to teach us and lead us as we remain "In Him," via His Spirit - One Body, One Baptism, One Family of God. Amen.

”One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” Ephesians 4:5-6 (KJV)
